Inveraray Castle

Inveraray Castle isn home to the Duke of Argyll. There has been a castle since the 1400s, though the castle standing today was started in 1746.  The current castle was commissioned by the 2nd Duke, according to their website, from a sketch by Vanbrugh, architect of Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard.

Our trip to the castle and ground was most enjoyable, and being able to take photos of the interior was an added pleasure.
