Here is the first group of photos from the gardens. The last three photos are of some church spires and of Edinburgh Castle. These are not in the garden, but taken from there. Edinburgh Castle is actually 2 miles by road, and probably 1.5 miles as the crow flies, from the gardens. The Samsung Galaxy camera has a 21x optical zoom, which is how I got the photo, even though it is not entirely sharp. When zooming so much it is necessary to have a tripod on hand, which was not the case with this photo.
